Dr. Nicole Byers
Dr. Byers is a Registered Psychologist with specialty training in Clinical Neuropsychology. She completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Saskatchewan and her predoctoral residency in Clinical Neuropsychology at the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax. She has worked in numerous hospitals and health care settings including working as a neuropsychologist in the department of neurosciences at South Health Campus hospital in Calgary.
Dr. Byers is also an Adjunct Research Professor with the Department of Neurosciences in the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary. She is the author of peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and invited addresses. She serves as a reviewer for scientific journals, and supervises psychology residents and practicum students.
Dr. Byers specializes in neuropsychological and psychological assessment of adults and older adults. As part of her practice she completes clinical, disability, and independent medical assessments. Dr. Byers has a particular interest in the relationship between physical health, cognitive health, and emotional health. She works with clients to evaluate their cognitive strengths and weaknesses and to provide recommendations to promote health and well being.
